Because I haven't emulated JKR nearly enough (what with using her characters and her world to create my own fiction), I'm going to follow her lead again and wish my characters a happy birthday. (Provided I actually remember, of course.) For the canon ones, I've naturally made up their birthdays if it's not given, so these are just when I like to think these guys were born.
- Tegan Llewellyn, September 7
- Scorpius Malfoy, September 22
- Arlie Shacklebolt, October 2
- Mattie Thomas, December 2
- Hugo Weasley, December 12
- Micah Horowitz, December 15
Planning out stuff here.
Title is a quote by the wonderful Yogi Berra, whose intellect is truly dizzying.
...the truth is I never left you!
I know I haven't posted recently and that I probably seem like a lazy, good for nothing cotton-headed ninnymuggins, and to a degree that's true. But my grandma, who's had Parkinson's disease for almost as long as I've been alive, is in awful shape at a nursing home. We sort of expected her to go sometime after Christmas, since she's very weak physically and conversing with the other side. As in, chatting with the folks behind the veil. She'd spoken with a distant great-aunt of mine and knew she was dead before anyone told her, and the Virgin Mary wants her to cross over. So when my mom looked sort of fragile this morning, I thought my grandma died.
I'm home for 5 days in a row! Which is the longest I'm in my home state all winter break. But I've been in a fog whenever I've tried to write recently (Rémy, my muse, has wandered off again), and I've tried to combat this writer's block as best I can. I've been relaxing and eating a lot (I have to get up to a certain weight for crew, I know it's weird), and today I played mud soccer with a few of the high school amigos.
Post title stolen from Gilmore Girls.
